sharing the romance (books)

I thought it was just a phase. Something that I had to experience so I can move on to other things. But if it were just a phase, it takes too long to pass. Until now, I’m still going through it. It is even getting worse. Before, I would just read what was available, but now, I find myself craving a bookshop to look for some books. Every time I went to a mall, I’d check out the bookshop first before any department in the store. Then I would be immersed in the books looking at one after another not minding the time at all. Usually, I’d look for some romance novels, but then, I would peruse every other book in every section of the bookshop and I’d find a couple of titles that would fascinate or intrigue me. Sometimes, I would plan to shop for clothes or shoes, and I’d end up with an armload of books instead.  Grocery shopping time would double because I can’t resist going in a bookshop. If I am in an alley between a fashion boutique and a bookstore, I would definitely check out the bookstore first. And probably spend my budget there without any regret at all.
Now, my room is a library. I have shelves of books. Half of my wardrobe closet is filled with paperbacks, hardbacks, fiction, non-fiction, even magazines of different topics.
After reading them, they just sit there and take up space. And I decided to just share them to anyone who may care about them.
